*This is an edited repost from forum 15, written in the skies after the Towers Tragedy*

I've always called the aurora borealis
my Rainbow Dancing Lights.
But at midnight on September 11, 2001,
the arctic aurora was monochromatic,
a pale green, short-lived dancing wave
accompanied by thousands of stars
in a cold clear sky of midnight blue.
And the dancing lights took on a different meaning,
in a very heartwrenching hue.

My Rainbow of Dancing Lights
suddenly became
a pale Rainbow of Waving Hearts.

The stars became the souls of lost innocents,
and the aurora was their wave goodbye.
I stood frozen in time, in shock and pain
mournfully crying to the Heavens,
"Why?"
My ears grew numb;
I heard the weeping 'round the world
from the loved ones left behind.
And the souls that burned brightly in the sky
were also screaming their "Why?"

And even today, there are no answers
though I look to the sky each night
for an answer that makes sense.

Those twinkling stars that lie
above the dancing northern lights
still cry a silent goodbye
wrapped tightly within
that same question, "Why?"

Will there ever be a reply?

***************************

May ripples of LOVE
become waves of PEACE

Keep looking Kacy, if not for answers, then for hope...

This is very beautiful.
But I wish you to see the aurora borealis again in bright colors!

Kacy,

This is heartfelt. I honor your compassion, empathy and grief, that, which all of us feel.

But, I believe there are answers, when we ask the right questions of the right entity.  But it seems some don't really want to know the truth of the matter. There really is a ~GOD~ and we do need His grace, because alone, we have none! I believe He formed America, in His name did we trust. And, it needs protection from the ones flying our planes into our buildings. And, no protest will ever change the fact they have a different God than we do.  Period! Why doesn't HE destroy them? Maybe He wants our loyalty instead of our lust, greed, deliberate prayer and rituals to many and lots of other gods, and blatant contempt of Him. He made America and He can and might possibly destroy it. Why shouldn't He....??? Too often, it is the protestors who don't know Him, want Him or respect Him at all.

~They~  hide their heads in the sands of magic, hoping for a miracle from a God they do not honor, or believe.

In honor of my God, first, then my country.   Pat

A wave of hearts goodbye ...
... such a sight, such words,
        such heart.

               ... such soul.
