Rose

The delicate petal of a rose
The colour deep, lasting long
Mirrors how I feel for you
Contradictions, fragile and strong

The thorny stalk of a rose
The barbs sharp, causing pain
Mirrors how you've treated me
Betrayal, my heart Abel, your words Cain

A rose never loses it's beauty.
Your poem expresses both the beauty and agony of love.
