The tunnel, Stretching to the far darkness, A funnel Of dreaming Filled with flames that burns endless My screaming And old fear Feeds the fire of this place That will sear Out my eyes And char all soft flesh to waste, Without cries I walk the flames to darkness. Gloom |

Professor, I walk the flames and pressure of heat and sparkle like a diamond is what I prefer to think.. But, since you write gloomy, I accept this terrific poem....and suspect you've captured more than one person's nightmare...no not mine...I lived mine...hope that'll count...smiling here - I enjoy your talent.... Warmest regards, Pat ..without surrender, be on good terms with all persons.. |

my dreams are of my past always trying to catch up to me a second time wanting to cling and hold me back... If only scissors worked, I would cut the connection. M |

I enjoyed this because it is so familiar to me. I am always being pulled, by some power I don't understand, to someone else's fire. Susan |
