Atchoo! Atchoo! Atchoo!
I've got a case of flu,
My eyes are red, and I'm in bed
And I ache all over too!

I simply cannot work today
Because I feel so ill,
Perhaps some hot chicken soup
Would help take out the chill.

My eyes are photo-sensitive,
So please pull down the blind,
And also fluff my pillow,
--If you would be so kind.

My head is pounding steadily
and my temperature's quite high,
I've sweat so much, the sheets are wet,
--Please change them for some dry!

Perhaps a sip of water,
Would help to quench my thirst,
And don't forget the ice pack
--I think I'd like that first!

My stomach is quite queezy,
In fact, I feel sick!
But maybe an antacid
Might just do the trick.

Please open up the window
So I can breathe fresh air,
For the room is very stuffy
And more than I can bear.

I need another blanket
And some tissues for my nose,
And aspirin for my aches and pains
And then I think I'll doze.

...I think I'm feeling better now,
So I'd like some tea and toast,
And maybe for my dinner
--A slice of prime rib roast?

I'm sorry Dear, but I'm worn out
From looking after you,
And I am feeling oh so sick,
For now I'VE got the flu!

And since you say you're well again,
I think it's only right,
That you should nurse ME back to health,
Now please, turn out the light!!!

ROFLMAO... So funny... and so true it hurts! LOL Of course, for many years now, I've had no one to complain to but my cats... and though they're good at sympathy, the fetching tea is up to me. *G*

People around our office are dropping like flies in spite of having taken flu shots... looks like it's gonna be a miserable fu(atchew)ture! LOL

Suthern ~

If you lived nearby, I'd make you that cup of tea!--and some hot chicken soup if you were ill! Your cats may not be able to feed you food, but I'm sure they feed you lots of love!

Be well! Be happy!

This is wonderful Angelic one....

Balladeer just couldn't sneeze,
A fact you'd think could quite well ease
his path thru life, but sadly no,
This wasn't really always so.

Now it is true, a good loud sneeze
A sneeze that rocks one to one's knees,
Does in fact in no small measure,
Bring satisfying nasal pleasure.

This strange complaint called "sneeze absentes'
Is not a state to please the senses
Occasions many, there were such,
To plague poor "Deer" very much.

Sometimes as he tried to doze,
Small creeping things crept up his nose
Because of course, he was without,
A sneeze with which to blow them out.

No pills or potions or medicament,
Relieved or cured "Deer's ailament,
And so, although his means were scant,
He went to have a sneeze transplant.

Now sneeze transplants are very new,
Complex and difficult to do,
A very curious operation,
Requiring skill and concentration.

Donor sneezes too are rare
Rarely is there one to spare
But they found a donor who,
Could spare him one, for he had two.

The surgeon's knife was deft and sharp
And yet it's function failed in part
For with the operation through
Balladeer "ahhhed" but couldn't "choo"

LMBO!  This is GREAT!

The stars will shine when I am gone,
the earth will turn on as before,
the gulls, still race along the shore,
the morning star, still kiss the dawn
