Even as I write, I sigh of your need as shadows dance the wall in flickering flames A tender thought of want and not of greed as love does grow in our garden of games. A pawn, a queen, a knight and king of court, these pieces on a board not black and white. Where love is many colors of all sorts and hearts do pound in passion’s soaring flight. A thrusting move that brings to lips a gasp above the moans of suitors in the wings. Where voices sing a song devoid of rasps and every rose is flung upon the flings. A twirl, a skip, a curtsey with a bow as damsel eyes do glimmer in the gleam. Their gaze that says wait but want to now as slippers fall the grass beside the stream. The pawn has come the board to be a king before the rook then brings to bear the knight. The queen does charge to thwart the waiting sting before the game does end at low moon’s light. CheckMate! (smiles) Oh my gosh, now I'm enthralled, and when you get into a stale-mate, you know it's not for real because they won't let you near to satisfy their needs! (sigh) This is excellent, sweet friend, I love it, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Barry, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you!
