We listened, fascinated
with our guide's delivery
and rose admirably to the occasion
with questions that showcased
our thoughtfulness
and ingenuity

our eager faces pleaded
for more intimate details,

blissfully unrepentant
that we absolutely,
one hundred percent, simply
can't
bear to give our history books
another glance

so it is not in the content...but the delivery.( smiling) You would listen to teh guide but not open the book willingly.

personifying history always make it a more interesting study and easier to relate to.
