In my mind I believe we can as poets inspire people into deep thinking, that readers see this form of writing as truly magic. Am I that good that I can do it alone? Never, for I am just a puppet on a string from the great masters whose words are still being heard in the winds of time. I am like a singer who loves their art form, singing from a voice of angel but never claiming the fame. For it is not really about singing solo, it is about carrying on a tradition of performing. Since my voice has a frog in it, I will let my readers sing my words in their minds and interpret what ever they want. My words may eventually strike home. But the talent of other poets out there will always exceed me. I can only dream that my last words may be my very best. Still my words will eventually drown out in the minds of others. For the greatest poet will lie, in the one you inspire!

A crazy dream and I am not sure why I am sharing it. I would love to set up a way I could go into schools and inspire kids in their natural talents. It is not about money but making them dream from within their own individuality. Every mind of every child is so blessed, that if they could had the freedom of inspired thinking they could create music that would create the start of an artistic revolution. See I told you I am a dreamer, condemned to my own fantasies. Please enjoy the following in its imperfections.

Most laws with their intent are good
For they govern society
Rules for a code of conduct
Communities wanting to set moral values
With rules of accepted behavior
City council imposing their will
On private property values

Where the evil comes in
It is a two bladed sword
For as the blade is cutting away
To clear the brush in its way
Of a new found infestation
The returning blade
Cuts away someone’s civil liberties

If you look back at history
We have legislated slavery
A cancer in any culture
Yet in some religions and societies
We have accidentally reintroduced it
By treating some sexes different
Some races with unintended preferences
While some nationalities are criminals
Some being born condemned
To a life sentence imposed
By civil and religious law

If by being religious
We must comply
The zealots who are willing
To stone a person to death
For making one mistake
Then by the time they get through
We will be a wasteland of death
With only one mind
Morally right
And His tears will fall
From the heavens above

Those that think this happens
In only under-developed countries
Need only study the laws of civil ones
In witch hunts and people bashing
Instilling prejudices as if it was candy
Is everyone prejudiced?
It is such a human attribute
That can only be cleansed
By believing everything put here
By a higher power
Was put here for a purpose

In the saints who have blessed
This world in their presence
Each has been humanly flawed
Maybe so microscopically
For the higher powers
Never intended us to be perfect
Bur learn from our mistakes

There are those that see evil
In everything living
As long as it moves,
Can be seen
By the naked eye
They hide from their fears
Of being infected
Cowering in the darkness
Of being seen or heard
For indecent exposure
In expressing themselves freely

Then there are legislators
Who bargain away our freedoms
As if they where a bargaining chip
Taking us into legislative dictatorship
Where breathing fresh air thoughts
Can be hazardous to your health
Having an independent opinion
Will exile you to deserted terrain
Politicians seeing a world only
In their own image
The trouble lies
That this puzzle
Will never come together
To fit a free civilization

Let me fly free
As high as the winds will let me
Let me soar within my spirit
Let me create inside me
God’s heavens
In the beauty of the landscape
Unblemished by urban blight
In words so treasured
They glow with their own power
Gems sparkling within pure pleasure

Let the sun tan my nude skin
In the suit I was given
From the heavenly purity
Of never being ashamed of myself
Let my mind be my altar
Giving thanks to my Maker

Let those that see evil
See the exquisite beauty
Within natures bouquet
Let them walk free
Seeking the light
Of their self exploration
From within a sparkling truth
That they will then be able
To speak freely of
A peace and tranquility
So inspiringly simple
That no law
Will ever control it

So in my reclusive poetic world
I will let nature motivate me
In its bouquet of natural masterpieces
From the paintings within my mind
Of ever changing scenes
In the endless possibilities
Of hoping one day my words
Will somehow float into your heart

Let the rules that I am guided by
Float before me
As light as a feather
In such respect for humanity
Living with the companionship
Of any other life forms
Yet in the brutality of nature
Things will be destroyed
As life continues to rebuild

Fly free
White Eagle
Fly so very free

Dave,

I wish I had the forty-five minutes plus it would take for me to read and think and consider this poem.

Many poems whithin this poem.

I skim read it, sorry....

I like from:

"Let me fly free.........line  to:
"Gems sparkling.......line. STOP!

poem right there!

Too much for me to read here....

As said previously, I enjoy your poetry greatly....

....it is the time element for me...

because you poetry is so indepth, not something to be *skimmed.....

smiling here, *especially with this mind....

I realize it'd be a sacrifice to the whole, but do you ever write shorter pieces???? Love to see them....

My personal take on this is a reminder how I used to want to be God, and after much reading of hundreds of books and a scathing "what's wrong with me, not you" soul searching era,
concluded: "I can't"....

I never interpret poetry same as intent of poet...

Hugs and God's blessings of strength and perseverance......hope you are doing okay...

Pat

..without surrender, be on good terms with all persons..

D.Lester Young,
And I too am a dreamer although not as eloquent as you. Your write is an epopee and should be read over and over.
But as you know each generation is a world unto them selves and the process of education is a near inpossible one. I wrote a poem called chaos and I'll post it tomorrow. Thank you for this post.
