Final poem of the day
Arrows of fire

By Peter J Marcroft

The bringers of chaos, onward they fly,
From the bunkers below, come arrows of fire,
Their screaming tails, light up the night sky,
Ready to destroy, this global pyre.

The siren sounds, crisp and clear,
"Hurry and get to ground!"
The people stick together, glued by fear,
While on the streets, there is no more sound.

Two minutes and counting, the curtain draws near,
Below the ground, many mumbles, a repeated prayer,
When the missiles impact, their flames shall sear
our flesh, and all else that stands there.

We feel the impact, is this already the end?
In horror we stare, as the sands run out,
All this could have been avoided, if we were all one friend,
But that can't happen, as our rulers want to show their clout

It's never too late to hold hands and demand that our world's mis-guided leaders sit on theirs, and stop throwing temper tantrums, stop threatening the entire globe with outrageous demands that everyone else on the planet bow to the most powerful and well armed military forces.

Amen.
Powerful words...may they open many eyes.

Thanks for reading people, and yes it is never too late, but this poem was wrote as a worse case scenario, can you imagine what it would feel like to see the warheads fly?

Let's pray that those blazing arrows remain in their quivers... Your depiction is quite vivid, Peter... Welcome to our Passionate walls.  This is a wonderfully insular haven in the midst of today's global melee...

(big huggssssssssss) it may not be too late, but also time stands so slowly with all these skirmishes and melees and the desire to blow each other up ever so imminent! (sad sigh) I pray these thoughts can cease somehow, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Peter, thank you for sharing

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Thanks for all the feedback, yeah it would be nice if peopl could set aside their destructive tendancies, but as this poem says, I doubt it myself and it can only be for the worse
