Before the costumed elegant and paired by sight and sound A glimmer from the sidelines, outside the play renowned Watching over carefully, choosing standards high Not of fear and not of can’t, but deep in clarify A Cinderella could be said, the dust of life upon And sparkling into darker hues, a little sun turned on Behold the transformation that bud to flower pose Before the eye unfolding pinkest petals of the rose While tender stems a first support, now rooted thick and wide In overturn of apathy growth new blooms verified Before me shed low lines instead, to blossom pretty pink And Cinderella leaves the ball a wiser queen I think Copyright Kkh 2/1/03 [This message has been edited by ThisDiamond (02-01-2003 09:31 PM).] |
