Why?
Why does my heart
ache more now
than yesterday?
Why not?

Why does the sun
insist on shining
today
warmer than yesterday?
Why not?

I have no answers,
only questions.
I have no solutions,
no ablutions,
no resolutions.

Why does the earth still spin
even though you
are gone
and my feet somehow stay grounded
where you last saw them?

Why does my heart still beat
though its been
torn apart,
scattered
on the winds of change.
Why not?

After all,
I am but a mere human,
and you...
you were the light of God to me.
And now I am left
in the darkest of corners,
those in my mind and heart.
Why?

Why not?

(big hugggssssssss) Oh Kacy, these puzzles of life and pain can indeed be walking contradictions, my heart goes out to you as I've been there myself, saying "Hey rain, I told you to come back another day, why do you disobey my tongue?" (sad sigh) I send angel hugs your way, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Kacy, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

P.S: On Tuesday night, I was in downtown Denver at the Denver Pavilions and went and saw Shakira in concert, you can read the review in Piptalk Lounge!

"Underneath your clothes there's an endless story..."

One of those days, huh?  Me, too.

Must mean you wern't in St Croix honeymooning with that millionaire hunk who's been searching for you all his life.Maybe next week ...
Missed seeing you here Kacy, glad to have you back messing with my already strained reason and emotions.

Live like it's your last day...
Dance like nobody's watching...
Love like you've never been hurt...

to all  thanks for visiting with me

It's really that fickle MUSE who took a hike this time.

LOL at that comment Ray. It would be more likely for me to be seen with a starving artist.

Kacy,
Because we have things to learn...

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Larry, I came to that same conclusion.
I hope to remain the perennial student.

I have often skipped over "Why?' and gone to "How?" I loved this poem which i'm sure all can relate to.
Your muse is just fine, it's that darn question. Keep your feet where they are, solidly on the ground
Good poem
