Blame the Blue

I see a door in the sky
blame the blue
for you are whispering to me there
and I am no longer in this chair that whips me

I am too bleached for this raucous sun you say
and pull me out into the naked trees
until my delicate unclothed truth
is just a shovel away in the sand
I kneel with your eyes on the curve of my supplication
what strength you give it
as you warm each grain in tender turn
just to show me the spill of waves

Through my fingers now I feel the sifting
that passes the place where high tide reaches
trying to take my impression
and it is there that I love you

OH MY!!!  I see you found your muse in the oceans blue too... How do you do this SO FAST!!!!!! Missing muse...me thinks not.
this is soooooooo coool.
such a lovely wistful piece of your heart.

If made to choose between the power of writing a poem
or the ecstasy of a poem unwritten I would choose ecstasy
In the end it is better poetry

How utterly sweet!

Nothing else to say. I can taste this poem as I read it, and the taste is good. Feel it, and the feeling is good. See it, and the vision is good.

You're an artist, and your art is good.

Thank you so much for these replies...I just wrote individual thank yous, but exceeded my image limit... was hugging you all with a few winks and a smile, and lost the whole thing...so I'm giving a group hug instead.

Your masterful use of words always draws the reader along wondrously circuitous routes full of interesting twists and turns and convolutions. I always enjoy the journey and this was no exception!

Warm hugs,

I can never pick one or even two lines you know that but what I can say is that one day I am bringing my pail and shovel and you and I are going to play okay?

Martie,

This is just amazing writing. Not unusual for you, I know....but....
several lines and phrases were special and they've basically been mentioned.
Just want to tell you this is awesome.
