The whispering voices never settle after prozac binges I feel the world is merely upside down and I the only one crazy enough to know is clutching the furniture hoping I don't fall like a cartoon The world is dying they say but would we ever know unless spoon fed gerber cnn "thata boy" as mother earth wipes spilled truth off our chins I looked at a razor today and thought of death but got lost in thought as I watched the falling progression of a single blood drop I am not well they say but who is to say what well is as I pull on my marilyn monroe drag and try to slip a middle aged male into panyhose Smoking oregano because pot is bad for you My pen has spoken to me in inked out vision proclaiming the end to foolishness of this piece so I now end. |

(chuckling) Ok.... your drag would need a shave from the looks of the picture in your profile... some good lines in here and the thoughts some I am sure a good many have had... enjoyed this for the gritty real of it and the way it sets the stage..delivers..then ends..leaving us to wonder what end |

Wow. Not sure what to say. I liked the title but wasn't expecting anything as good as what followed. You made a very disconnected world, flow. I could learn a lot from this poem. Love the Prozac reference and the pen ending. Really a great poem! |

The lines I bolded above really struck me. Had to smile at the cartoon references...yes, sometimes it feels like that dont it. Good to see you posting again poet sir. jm If made to choose between the power of writing a poem |

I also like the mother earth line, and many more. This does leave me speechless, for I am still 'feeling' and 'seeing'.... Very talented poet. Interesting read. Pat ..without surrender, be on good terms with all persons.. |

squealing over here Brad--finally--FINALLY--I read a post by you I can completely understand and relate to....chuckle. and all kidding aside? This has got to be the best I've read from you. Has an undercurrent of pain and anger--and you captured the confused fogginess of dysfunctional thought exceptionally well. (something I happen to know about--bet you're not going to argue with me about that one! ) I liked the bit about the "drag"--indicates to me the outer indication of the inner turmoil, as well as poses the subject's stance of "I'm not what I seem..." I could go on and on about this'n. But just know that I did read, and enjoyed this very much. "gerber cnn"---grin. |

Brad, I don't think I've seen you since I've been here, but I'm glad I saw this. I certainly was amazed by your abilities to write poetry in this one. It seemed like I was looking into a screen watching what you were describing. I hope you will post more of your work here. "Love makes the world go around" |
