From someone who is hurting
  from someone who doesn't know why,
  from a life which death has touched
  from a young face with old eyes.

From all the tears for those in pain,
  from dreams of better days,
  from wounds unhealed, and words unsaid
  from identity lost in a maze.

To the stranger who empathised,
  to the child who knew to smile,
  to nature and God who showed a way;
  to understanding which made it worthwhile.

To singing voices, and praying hearts,
  to a lover who is true,
  for making her world a better place
  this grateful soul thanks you.

The soul would have no rainbows, had the eyes no tears.

You're very welcome Dixie... I hope things get better; and Ethel and Pat, thanks once again for always taking the time to read and comment.

The soul would have no rainbows, had the eyes no tears.
