My body wrenchs from sleep my eyes opened to new morn a kiss from new sunbeams lovingly replace the nights scorn I sit gently into the new day and hug myself "good morning" I am myself again at home I am loved and I love My memories slowly return filling the void of dreams My life fills me yet again till i am again what i seem My nightmares return I am truely alone I am not love do not love the sun never shone My memories are mine again death, death and loneliness make me once again whole once again merely pieces I yearn to return to the void of the night to the abyss of forgetfulness to where im beyond sight But i must rise for the monster must be fed life must move on It is as they always said Take a good look at my face Well, don't my smile look out of place look a little closer its easy to trace The tracks of my tears [This message has been edited by Walter Poe (01-27-2003 12:26 PM).] |

I do know how this feels...it's better to dream sometimes than to wake up |

"tis darkest before the dawn" and yet...I know you fear not the night. An achingly beautiful write poet Paul, as always, your rhymes move me. jm Trees are poems that the earth writes upon the sky. |
