A Super Sunday Snow has captured the mountains and down the canyons it breaths into the empty city streets around the cement and bricks of Sunday at three The sky is a dull gray and from the house of stone across the street with door open I hear loud shouts and cheers that echo around the branches of the naked trees I race across the lawn and throw myself down hands gripping the legs of my startled husband trying to get into the super bowl mood but the lawn streaks my light blue jeans green and he falls with a loud thud into the rose bush and the mood is not good I look back across the street as loud curses flip across the parked pick up trucks and bounce across the street as I sit on the damp ground with my moaning man who is looking at me now with a look that feels like he caught whatever had been thrown This seems like a good thing to do to sit here as the afternoon breathes that cool air and listen to the human sounds that start a chaos of dogs barking down the alley and across the street into the village Listen I say to his almost smile the one that is playing now as I take his hand and pull him toward me as we both sit perfectly still while through the neighbor’s window on a giant screen the blurred game is played [This message has been edited by Martie (01-26-2003 07:35 PM).] |

(big hugggsssssssss) I will never understand football, it is honestly one of the most ridiculous celebrations to me but I guess I can say I'm going for Tampa Bay this year just because their fans are acting much more decently than Oakland fans by what I've heard, and there lies the true winner! (sigh) I love this, sweet friend, it is love and the simple things that are much more fun to celebrate, yay, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Martie, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton "Underneath your clothes there's an endless story..." |

A fine alternative to football-watching, to be sure! Thanks for sharing.... The game is on and I'm trying to watch it lkie a good Joe Sixpack, but I simply cannot keep my mind from wandering. Because I'm blessed with very large offspring, I avoided football for years so they wouldn't get interested enough to start playing & inevitably get hurt. Now I have no interest either. By its very nature, football brings out the monkey in us, and I'm just as happy to leave mine buried. |

Noah...I never understood it either..especially when my son played in High School and got a compound fracture of his arm...he still has the plates and pins. Ed....I really enjoyed the music at the beginning...brought on a few tears. Football is not very interesting, although I do enjoy watching the faces in the crowds. I'm enjoying Mr. Heineken. Thanks for your reply. |

So, who won? It would be my guess that your game ended in a tie. The stars will shine when I am gone, |

lol at Michael's reply... You know, Lady, you could write a wonderful poem about a piece of paper or a pencil, I bet....like Vicky did that time about the "paper clip".....HaHa!! I always know when I see your name that it's going to be an excellent poem. Thank you, friend for sharing yourself with us...... "Love makes the world go around" |

'I race across the lawn and throw myself down hands gripping the legs of my startled husband trying to get into the super bowl mood but the lawn streaks my light blue jeans green and he falls with a loud thud into the rose bush and the mood is not good' That might have made it worth watching! |
