This is not a poem on the time of day
but on the string of father time
to which the earth is so piously attached

you could go on living unconcious of that
throw the candy wrapper out onto curbs
ignore signs of caution...universal blurbs
natural forces, time's allies
will do the decomposition for you?

Oh they will....even as spied through crystal balls
'All in days's time'..said the wicked witch of the west.
Little did she know that even if the Kansas girl would get to Emerald City,
that too would eventually cease to exist
as life we know now would turn into mist...

this is not a poem about the time of day
or the hour of fervent worship
but the finite time on the clock called mother earth,
it ticks to tune of multitudes lost..of dearth

true, the end will occur in millions of years, you say
until the time the sun becomes that red giant
and engulfs this blue saphire
why should I create unneeded anguish?

just my way of being cognisant of what brevity we have
the lowly microbe will probably end up the more successful
the oceans will eventually warm favoring only that existance
and man's stay will be much shorter by comparison

I could continue being unconcious of all that
that until this jewel becomes another celestial cinder
there is so much 'time' you say.
don't think I'll have it that way.

Lots of truth in your poem. I enjoyed reading it, though it was kind of sad to me..........Made me sad for the way we treat Mother Earth......

yes Serenity,

I do see you see that we don't really see that time
we see our clocks and watches
