Cast of Time When young I built an ark of could Of things I thought I understood. A construct for vanities sail With dogmas insanities nail Wove the ropes of colored hues. And the sails of fantasy views Launched it out on warm soft raves. And floundered on a storm of waves I did not mind the rub of hide. Nor did I mind the loss of pride. But I had lost some precious time. For each is timed a flowers prime. So now I build a cask of wood For lessons learned and understood. It took me all this life of dare To find that love the nail of wear. And I am weary to the bone And place a stone upon a stone. |

(sigh) Oh Seymour, I just love this, sweet friend, in every interval of time it is unpredictable in many causes what may ebb against the rocky shores but I am certain we won't be caught in follies alone! (big hugggssssss) Good nmorning to you, dear friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Seymour, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Seymour, This is lovely, a great way to start the day. Reminding me that tomorrow is now and not to lose sight of hopes and dreams. That yes, I'm older now and though not the flower that I once was, still have a lot of life to live - to live it a little wiser now.. Thanks, SG |

Is there some wine in that cask, Sy? If so, then, bye and bye, I'll come and we shall sip some cheer... and please make sure our poets are there! |

Is four quatrains followed by a couplet a standard that you usually work with? Hope you don't mind me asking. Thanks. It's amazing I won. I was running against peace, prosperity, & incumbency. |
