Sequela (Revised) They didn’t expect suffering to linger, to hang about in the uneasy dark, becoming their own shadows, a trickling of the past. They speak a secret language of undertones - circular, hushed dialog; foreign dialects to the other siblings. They are, in this sense, unrelated to relatives. Progress is measured in small steps for this brother and sister, days marked by private scars, punctuated by occasional clarity, when light cracks through purple-cloaked rooms. Nighttime echoes inner gray tones, apparitions box shadows on walls - reruns of old nightmares in black and blue. Eyes - open or shut cannot black out images of him. Uncle, thief of innocence, lives on in predatory time. © 2003 Core |

(tears fall down my cheeks) Oh Corinne, I hope this isn't related to an experience of yours, sweet friend, this made me cry to see the sequela tree and the haunting etchings of a young child written on them expressing the rape of an innocence that once existed! (sa sigh) This is heartfelt, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Corinne, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton "Underneath your clothes there's an endless story..." |

thanks Sey, unfortunately, you are right about that. Hi dear Noah, no, not my personal experience, but that of a friend and her brother. They are both in their 50's now and still haven't recovered. Cor |
