I am the music,
and all I
ask
is that you listen and not just hear.
Become the bow on my violin strings.
Let my lyrics inspire a tear.

I am the novel,
and all I
ask
is that my pages you never again tear.
Lay me upon your chest as you fall asleep.
Let my words caress you there.

I am the painting,
and all I
ask
is that you hang me in your heart.
Let my oils become your blood.
Let your soul become my art.

I am Jamaica
and all I
ask
is that you visit my moonlit beach.
Snuggle your toes in my soft white sand.
While for my stars you reach.

I am red wine
and all I ask is that my fermenting trust you sip.
Taste my affection upon your palette,
My bouquet upon your lips

I am the music,
The novel, the painting,
Jamaica, and the red wine.
Remember me always, and say to yourself…
“The good things in life are mine.”
