Whitewashed, sincere walls
Tower above the head of a child.

She reaches up and feels
The smooth desolate surface.
They tower above her head,
And her eyes entreat the beauty
For an escape.

Does the wall sense the tears
She’s washed it with?
Can it understand her plea?

She’s in fetal motion,
And contemplation.
The high walls bear no way
For her flight, and goodbye.

She still sits,
Her entreating
Left for her own mind
To discover.

- And so it was that time stood still -
     (blink, breathe, stand, fight)

Interesting write...and deeper than some would think.....at first I thought (by the title) it was going to be something different...have ya ever heard the song walls?...."I'm just a name that's all...scratched upon your wall, you used it well but what the hell?...that's what walls are for"....

Thank you Toe sir,
I've never heard that song.
I was thinking I might want a better title..
but couldn't decide what. Hmmm...

Alyssa,

Interesting. I do know about those walls, in more ways than one, as many do.

Keep writing, keep the faith. Speaking of self: lonliness and confusion were bitter pills to swallow. Waiting, a 'time-worn' way of honing patience, perseverance and trust. I am a doer, and have to do something physical when imprisoned by my mind.

Also, at times, there was only one path on the way to freedom and no matter how illogical, that path lead to that which I needed,  to heal.

Blessings to you, Hugs, Pat

Seymore,
glad you enjoyed thank you for responding.

Pat,
Thank you. I guess this wasn't my most hopeful piece was it. Ok in fact, it was pretty much down past depressive. But, yea, not sure what else to say. Sometimes other paths seem a lot more clear than the one that leads rightly.
I always like to go on walks when I get the feeling. But heh, as for today I've already thrown up about five times and I can't move much. Anyway.....
Thank you much, Hugs and blessings to you.
Always, Alyssa

Alyssa, After your reply I cannot help but respond again.

In general for you and anyone:

Undiagnosed physical ailments can cause deep despair, intensifying the problem and making us or others think we have a mental or emotional problem. I read of your problem in a different forum and cannot imagine why more tests aren't run. -If- the only open path available is to seek psychological help, do it!
Treat the "despair" and you'll have gained needed support and a professional friend with the kind of power needed to help you deal with other medical staff and fields needed to disclose this physical problem of migraine's?????(you said?) Not sure why they haven't given you meds. or run more tests.  I am not a Dr. nor advising you to do anything but seek whatever help is there...Therepists nowdays become best friends...gives us the kind of support and validation needed to get through any and all problems. I don't e-mail minors, or I'd have done so with this reply.

Hugs to you and best wishes for a speedy recovery.

You are in my prayers, Pat

This is a rather depressing write, but still, it's writtten with strength. Keep writing it out, it can only help you to heal.

WhiteRose,
thanks I'll work on that strength, glad you saw some in there. Writing is great isn't it?

Pat,
Thanks so much for your reply. And your kindness. Does it count if the minor emails you? I think I could give a better response that way! If not no problem.
Thank you especially for the prayers
Hugs

Thank ya,
the sad ones usually show the most emotion, don't you think? And can be all too relatable. I like them too.
But then smiling is good... and I got tons of sad ones I wouldn't show anyone.
