Ramblings Perhaps it’s only just the wind that brings the sound to me, rumbling, “listen up, little girl,” so there it is, our history… Feminism came into play, and while all aspects seemed deigned for women to take on the world, still some of us do dream… For treatment, fair; for respect, a given; but somehow it became much more, and woman became the one so driven that much was left behind closed doors. So when I hear, upon gone winds, the rumbling sounds of history it brings back something wonderful “listen up, little girl”; we shall see. For I can still be one’s little girl, and be a woman, well met, it’s all in what you want from life, and how you hedge inner bets. No need for anyone to delve too deep into this ramble that sprawls along, just remember it’s only the wind and a kind of little girl song. |

This reminded of a story about a woman who ran away to Nevada (19th century) because she was her husband's property and he was abusive. It was a very revealing story about how subjugated women were. (Maybe too depressing?) You told yours elegantly. KJ Through rubble and trouble and dark of night |

I compare the first women feminists who stood up to the old boy network much like how Jackie Robinson stood up as the first black baseball player in all white league. Only when dreams are seen as something attainable can 'will' take over and achieve it. Nice rumbles within rambles, Karilea! Jeff |
