I got a card this morning- From up in Tennessee. The card read, "Season's Greetings", Beneath a Christmas tree. And scrawled inside, "I miss you"- And, "I'm sure feeling blue". Signed, "with love, Your angel, I wish I were with you." I thought about the plans we made- And all that life would be, The only thing that's wrong out here, Is you are not with me. I have the Texas prairies- The blue, southwestern skies, The stars so brilliant, overhead, Remind me of your eyes. The holidays are nearing- And, babe, it's plain to see, The only thing that's wrong out here, Is you're not here with me. |
