On What Is Genius  (the Thinker Series - part II)

To what shall I ascribe to brilliance?
Is it a truism that all thinkers are painters of original thoughts
and all painters: thinkers?
or that all sculptors of existence
are shapers of a clear destiny?
Must the reassignment of reality simply become
a ridiculous endeavor with skewed conclusions
or does the greatest of minds
intuitively know the question’s answer
before it is posed, and merely waits
for it to be asked?

All ultimate truths are known
and ultimately ignored
until the mind allows the circuit to pass
successfully, and without bypass
from an Alpha point to an ending Omega point
The skillful are neither brilliant nor insightful:
they simply don’t inhibit the process
of natural thought.

Well gnosticized.

It's amazing I won. I was running against peace, prosperity, & incumbency.

Jeff darling heart truly one of your utter best, I love the vision this brings to mind

Within times mirror what do I see?
A pattern of wisdom’s clarity
It reflects your eyes reasoned thought
Of all the ways of truth you’ve sought
And maybe it places a mist o’re you
With a little line or perhaps two
They are just ripples nothing more
Wrinkles of what has gone before
Time’s passage leaves much in its wake
But I’m thankful for truth’s sake
For the wisdom time has given you
You sprinkle us with its dew
This lines drawn with time’s own hand
Leave a map of knowledge in hope’s sand

Truly you really do write so well, I'm amazed by the power of your words, well done darling man.

Love to Dulci and batman of course

Love and warm stuff

Into the library with this one, Jeff.
Yes, opening the door to what's already out there makes the 'discovery' phase so much easier.

Winston:  you might say i 'GROKKED' the subject
in a moment of clarity.  Thankxs for the note.

Maaaaaasha:  Happy Birthday first of all, and even though i didn't deserve your gift of poem to reply, it is with humbled heart i thank you for your words.  I try to imagine them as you speak them: with your Brit accent, and the soft tones of hushed feeling.  Be well, and do not let your spirit diminish, Sweet-one!

Kacy, i wax waaaaaay too poetic on philosophy, but folks have a tendency to rely
too much on what they 'feel' or see, and don't spend enough time on reasoning and thinking dilemma's through to a conclusion.  That is what the Thinker Series is about, if it doesn't bore everyone to .....uh....ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

Hi Jeff---

"or does the greatest of minds
intuitively know the question’s answer
before it is posed, and merely waits
for it to be asked?"

Seems the rouge of sky changed to blue before I looked, but I know it happened.  You pose some interesting questions.  Sometimes I think too much and need to stop and let it happen.

I always enjoy what you write, because you put so much thought in to the meaning and leave the reader better for having read you.  Thanks for missing me.

Oh my Jeff....now I shall have to come back to this one several times today..
This really kick started my brain into gear..
which is a good thing...so I'm told.
Wonderful write...one I shall ponder this afternoon....and longer.

(sigh) Oh Jeff, this is so very insightful, sweet friend, I feel if we disregard everything that simply doesn't beg or duck the question which our ancestors laid before us, we miss the real question asked, yet natural thought is a compound of that and our own valid opinions which must be supported and never seem trivial, simply in being able to find a new reason to contribute to this question is where true wisdom lies! (sigh) God Bless You, sweet friend, this is marvelous, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Jeff, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

An interesting piece.  However, your grammar is somewhat lacking in places.  Your first line is somewhat awkward.  Should it not be something like "To what shall I ascribe brilliance?"

Other than that, however, I thought this poem was quite original.  But then, I'm no philosophy major so this could be old hat to somebody out there....

The re-assignment? That would be the first part I would have to question.  The assignment of reality is not of issue.  Knowing of that you don't know is what keeps
the fear from staying.  The are no answers or questions within the area of geniusness.  Brilliance is of tanquility.  Awareness of your awareness in 'knowing nothing' helps to comprehend the importance of absorbtion in the moment.  The openness chases off the fear and spirituality seems would follow.?
All in all very catalystic, catapulting, catapillering, and provoking me into my creative world, thank you.
