![]() Foot of the Lake (Fond Du Lac) Little did I know that along with my heart, my desire would also be left...in Wisconsin Saw a couple walking hand in hand tonight The moon was full As the memory of us came stealing seemed to me that they too, were feeling what once was you...and I Outback of Jim and Linda's my mind stepped back in time closed my eyes and remembered our lips kiss, while the "Foot of The Lake" winds blew gentle, the moment embellished the instant as I looked into your eyes Stars larked, hearts danced, northern lights tuned to us and our romance, hearts entwined in joy and delight close my eyes and I remember the taste of the kiss under the moon and the stars that enchanted night At the Fond Du Lac Copyright © 2001 Dennis Hicks All Rights Reserved by Author |

You know, this isn't my usual fare, but I have to say I really really liked your poem... you have a nice way of creating a scene without over-indulging in imagery... well done ![]() |
