Stop
By: Noah Eaton
1/16/02

Sucker, keep your passifire in your mouth
Cheater, figure the world around you out
Reciprocator, let me have five minutes of peace
While I figure out this state I'm in, what I need...

What's with all this conflicting euthanasia?
Deontological ethics and retributivist insomnia?
Even Sisyphus found the strength prima facie
Who is the real condemned posse?

Jean-Paul Sartre is no longer part of my repertoire
You say we're de trop but you're yesterday dinner's chop suey
And here you are, living a Von Treitschke manuscript
Warring on all you used to believe in, all I used to reason

You've got to let go to get back in
You've got to let go to get back in
Celebrate topography but lose the surveys
Forget all you purvey

I'm sorry about the attitude I'm using
But I speak the truth, I don't go pusillanimously
Some days I believe I'm weaker than I used to be
Here you've left no vassal to own this territory

Insert coin to begin cycle
I'm washed and dried, yet I feel puritanical
What if Nietzsche is the real Superman?
I better pray I won't be damned

So then whose side is Luthor on?
Who's the real hero, who's the real icon?
Catch me if I fall, whoever that may be
Give me some clarity...

You've got to let go to get back in
You've got to let go to get back in
Celebrate topography but lose the surveys
Forget all you purvey

You'd better stop
You'd better stop
You'd better stop
Tearing me up
YOU'D BETTER STOP
I don't believe what you taught
So let me lose myself
From this paradox...

Go on, stamp me on the front cover of your Corsair
I'm Kierkegaard, just trying to seem debonair
But you ridicule me like a martyr with no hope
Crook-backed, living in my mole hole
"My significance depends on my trousers"
but as you can see the truth lacks suspenders
Good God, can you ever depend on me
Can you ever depend on me?

So you'd better stop
You'd better stop
You'd better stop
Tearing me up
YOU'D BETTER STOP
I don't believe what you taught
So let me lose myself
LOSE MYSELF
From this paradox...

I'm paraphrased under your eyelashes...
I'm abridged in your encyclopedia...
You take my honesty away with your use of ellipses

STOP...
STOP...
STOP...

"Underneath your clothes there's an endless story..."

Shakira

oh..my..
this is strong and powerful,
and I hope things stop twirling so you can see the step ahead of you.
you can rest your head down for a bit, as long as the rest holds your chin, up.
Enjoyed.

Always, Alyssa

Angel,
You'd better NOT stop writing - NOT EVER. Look no ellipses!

Well Noah? You just go ahead and let it all out, lovie...

loving the rebel in you here...

I think you need to go on a picnic, m'self.
Indoors. But do the whole works. It's amazingly refreshing--cause yep, sometimes? I just feel like it's raining information.

Happy 21 Sweet Noah.

Now let your sweet head rest a bit, we all love you.

Dear poet, you think well beyond your years and you are not the only one swirling from inaccurate "facts' youve been taught. You look at the whole picture, past and present and come to your own conclusions about what you will see when the suspenders snap. I truly admire your mind, and this poem does justice to all the words you have contributed to passions. You are a very gentle soul with a powerful mind
In admiration of your talents
I congratulate you, Prince of Passions twenty one thousand times
You are terrific!

Tremendous tension in every line
Dont' change a thing; no, don't refine!

Strong words and symbolism.  KJ..and 21,000 postings are a lot of thoughts expressed very well.

Through rubble and trouble and dark of night
The yawn of a dawn will hasten the light
