Listening to every heart

January White

How slippery, night to day,
week to month,
[tongue to lips]
and here you are, again…

agitated, I do not look at day of month
on any man-made calendar,
no, I knew you were presenting
yourself again, readying to
peer down in winter white
like a bride
in tremble.

I thought, perhaps,
as systems decline, particularly
and peculiarly, a woman’s,
that so would
the inner pull of tidal creep,
but no…

I am still woman
and you still pull,
sensations become taut
till you wane again.

But while you are here?

Wax well,
and warm my revelations.

KJ...you too huh?  Yes, that moon surely
does carry a magnetism within it...a pull
that stirs the emotions and has caused the
creation of many creatures and beings over
countless thousands of years...

Beautifully written...thanx..

again, that thought of last night when i saw the chalked lunar orb trying its daylight against the sunsetting sky...pity i never truly noticed its aura before.  Then you write of the pull, the allure, the tidal resistance of romance, etched in white.
A commanding performance in poetry, Sunshine

Karilea

The moon was out during the day today, as I drove home ...8 hours of moon, a white thumb print in a blue sky.  Your poem is beautiful!

oh yeah, the poem :smirk:

um, greased images. they just slide thru
the crevices of your head and glue them-
selves to the backdrops of your mind.
and the picture adds to.

january white, that's such a catchy title.
