Today I think I've stretched my mind and drifted off to thoughts of him. Then windy breeze that forced its way, shivered me from limb to limb while reading words of poets choice, small enough to fabric quilt. I finger pressed them, packed away these ornaments from words they built. I took each poem, placed just so imprinted each on muslin, plain, then added blues of stars and sun and moon my theme, this years campaign. Each piece designed to fit the words no two alike, some shaped their own. And there were more that would not fit a mini quilt, with them, was sewn. Will add the new ones, come next year and grow the words of poets when the miles of distance closes and your words converge with mine again. I thank you all for presence sweet. Your words with mine, made Tree complete. M...thank you to all of you who gifted me with your words to share from year to year... Alyssa, what I did was ask others to post for me some holiday haiku or a short poem of friendship. I wanted to do something different this year. You may use this idea if you like and if you don't quilt you can always print them out as cards and place on your tree. *s M Bill, thank you...next year I will add a poem from you, ok? M Jeff, not so inventive, just bored sometimes I needed to take it down and taking a few pictures first gave me the incentive and finally a poem. I am sooo far behind these days. Hope all is well with you and yours. *s M Thank you, vandana. I almost hate to put the quilt pieces away. If I ever get enough for the wall hanging I will keep it out all year. hugss Maureen |

Dixie, I am always thinking of things to create or do differently... it is my curse in life (well one of them, anyway) Denise, I love the theme of The Sun, Moon and Stars and picked up the idea about ten years ago on a vacation in North Carolina. I forgot I had these ornaments until this year. Thanks for the visit *s M |
