Ink the engravement Of God's name The past has been defamed And bereavement Is for the strong While the weak and lame Lose grip on this world To grasp the lion's mane. By His strength will I be dragged Across the nation Undrugged and drenched in emancipation; Freed, don't you see? While the strong feed on the flesh of the weak. Unseen, The greed of the masses. Sex is the drug of the nation, T.V. is the political tactic Corrupted in character Diluted in devotion Until the pupils peel back in dilation Eclipsing the soul like a black hole The unholy sun of reruns Burning coal fires to feed the machine. These are the flames of Wall Street warriors Stoking their stocks and bonds Until higher and higher Are set the stakes for loss. Different from the stakes Upon which witches burn But not that different. For progress is an incorrigible need And only the strong survive. While the weak will ween from the Green milk of greed, Like crumbling brown leaves Will the obstinate be As they continue to ingest Their corruptible seed. And the cold will kill The stems on their tree. Mother Earth is subject To the Father, the King And those that turn to her as a creed Will miss the ultimate, overpowering strength. |

I like this alot!! For the theme that your saying, you still kept it completely original, which is hard to do. I agree with what you're saying.. if I translated right if not, well, I'm not sorry. But so many people look to the world and earth for strength.. and they miss the one who created that. sad really Always, Alyssa - And so it was that time stood still - |
