Panning Gold

I panned some gold the other day
By swishing talk in pans touché
It came the soil of moving lips
Within the space of coffee sips

It swirled around and sifted truth
While dumping excess of uncouth
And they’re in sparkling golden balm
Lay the gold in all its charm

From there we melted it to form
Into a mold of human norm
And with the essence of the ring
We sifted out the hurt and sting.

We placed it in a mind of care
That filled it full of savoir-faire
Gave thanks unto the spirits blend
And called the day a happy end.

This is the gold I seek today
At every stop in every way.

Wonderful morning read as always dear Sy!
How you do this each and every day if beyond me.
But may it continue for many a year to come.

Nancy,
Some days are a dud and some days a flood.
But they average out. Thank you sweet.

Sy,

I just love this for too many reasons to mention. I've reread it couple times and each time it doesn't fail to make me grin, ear to ear. It's wonderful.  Enjoyed.

Thank you,
Pat

waaaay too many good lines to focus on here, as
each is a nugget to be weighed in pleasant memories later:  just like a good poem should.
