morning returns by the window,
and the day's first thoughts
begin again with you,

all in the same breath
my heart becomes full and empty,
reflecting upon my love for you,

by now, ive come to know,
that you're the wind that i will never catch,

the dazzling colors of the rainbow
that dissolve as they are simultaneouly born,

the snowflakes that disappear,
while i try in vain
to savor their beautiful taste,
upon my lips,

by now i've come to know,
that any validity given to us in the real world,
could never parallel
the storybook romance
where you so lovingly let me
write the story of us,

by now i've come to know,
that any man who fed my dreams, my heart, my soul, my imagination,
over the last few years,
at a time when i so desperately needed this,
is best treasured as the angel
that saved me from falling off this ledge
