When lonely has its way You build yourself a dream Paint your lonely characters On brightly colored canvases Then wonder through the show The faces come and go The ones you thought could hold your dreams Get lost in fading candle glow Everything must end I'm trying to begin You wonder through your room Pretend a time or two Embrace a careless photograph That used to look a lot like you Then morning has its way Through everything that’s thin You reach for one last song to sing Try to put the pieces back again Everything must end I'm trying to begin A broken song, its said Is never really gone It’s just a way of wishing that The moments never right or wrong But now it’s just a show A melody that's thin A bright remaining tapestry Of all we've finally had to leave again Everything must end But I'm trying to begin Music is the language God used to create the Universe |

I liked this a lot & personally I'd like to know the issue behind it....enjoyed very much. Nature has a funny way of breaking that which will not bend....Jewell |

This poem reflects the lonliness I feel isolated 1200 miles from home after a good friend of mine died over the holidays and I wasn't able to go home for the funeral. That and trying to go on with my life with out having any real closure. Trying to keep up appearences with people who have no idea the pain and loss. Every day is a struggle but I am trying to move on. |
