I am pale enough to penetrate but you won't look me in the eye Like stone, I crumble, waiting and you never say goodbye Like every other time I sing myself lullabies and promise you'll be back like the sunlight in my sky Bound to the bitterness of broken dreams I cling to you, begging to know what I mean Rock to the melody of your heartbeat until we both fall slowly asleep And in imagination I'm not alone in bed I'm not crying myself to sleep while your image dissolves in my head "I don't need to scream for you to deem me aggravation." |
