When he died, she was so hurt
In lives together
he made her feel
Happy....sad
Glad....angry
Companionship....loneliness
Independence....dependence
Every emotion was felt
at some time
during years with
HIM

She promised herself,
NEVER to marry
or get involved
again
She didn't NEED
all these
emotions

Something always
wrong happened
in past relationships,
marriage
She could do without
mixed emotions and
HURT

She could make it in life
all by herself
Because..,
She was HERSELF, and was capable
She was strong
Because, she loves
HERSELF

Then,
I met
YOU

that I met my Love....

About the color and writing....I'd tell you in an e-mail,
but you don't have one for me to send it to. So....
with the color, you do and the color you want...
With the font style, you type.....
. The font type goes in the space.
This one is called "Lucida Calligraphy".
At the end of the sentence, or poem, you type
or
Sweet Nancy Lee/Enchantress told me how to do it.

Yes, I think that this is actually like most love stories....
both good and bad. We just have to try to make the
bad better, if possible, I guess....that is, if
we stay in the relationship.

Thank you, Michelle,
I'm trying a little at a time to write about the hurts
and heartaches. It seems to be easier when I write like
it's someone else, sometimes. In this one, I had written "I" and "me" where "she" and "herself"
are. Then when I got to the ending, I decided to leave
it like it was. Why, I don't know......

There's a lot inside that might heal faster if I would
write about it. It's so hard, though...

I know that Gary would certainly be proud of it. I am
so blessed that we found each other, and that he's so
patient with me.

Ethel,

I liked how you spoke in third person and then reversed to first person at the end. It was a nice twist it gave me, the reader, a sense of connection and sensitivity.

response, I wrote it in first person, but changed all
except the ending. I don't know why, really.

I like it very much Ethel. I was struck by the last part - especially that she loves herself, then can find love again. That is so the key. Even when you think you love yourself you have to really be sure of it before you can truly share yourself with someone else. So it was meant to be. Like how those two came together in the last part of your poem. She deserved to find love again and had worked through the pain to find her strength again. (Of course she = you and I am not surprised).

Paul, you're right...I am VERY happy
with my Love, but I do have scars from past experiences
that won't seem to heal. Maybe if I will deal with them,
instead of trying to push them away, they will completely
heal, so that my Love and I can get on with our lives.
