Like a Green Apple There are but a few compared to many. Like a Green Apple in a bucket of reds. The one you would like to have Though the odds are against you. You can't see it any other way Because one green is worth many reds. But the Green Apple is hard to get, So you give up And settle for a red apple, With half the flavor of the Green. It sits there hardly noticed Just another red apple. This then reminds you, This isn't what you want. So you try for the Green Apple again, But things have changed. It can't stay Green for too long Before its color fades, Its flavor becomes bitter. And you are left thereā¦ Wishing it was still Green. My poetry online |

Sounds like the brass ring, easy to see difficult to attain. Good, thoughtful poem. Kethry Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind. Unknown |

(sigh) I too have always liked the green apples more most days, and then there are those golden apples which also seem to be pushed aside! (big hugggsssssss) God Bless You, sweet friend, this is wonderfully metaphoric, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Smalls, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton "Underneath your clothes there's an endless story..." |
