Another September comes Shorter days Red setting suns Where would I be without your spurious memory? Anticipating another October wind? Awaiting the fall, without your essence captivating my senses? Shall I dance with the ghost of yesterdays past? Or forget a love that seems will forever last? Engrained in the stars Carved in the scars The blood flowing...like a river of tears The tree of life will sway in the breeze Several prayers still to be whispered will come from the knees And perhaps one day We'll find a way To forget...the unforgettable End to the end...when...the last leaf falls © 2002 Dennis Hicks 9/16/02 |

This is very effective. It feels like a whisper of sadness, a mist of regret. Well done. Nan (Pilgrim variety) |
