Once, as a young man He sat at this very stand Playing the keys to ears that pleased Hours spent fondly gathering her love He'd gaze out the window Compose symphonies upon the ivory Playing their love for all that would listen The visions would sing and dance within his head Plum tree's with the wind danced outside the man's window with each note from the baby grand's crescendo Years passed and time cast gray upon his hair lines upon his face Yet each day The man sat at the grand retracing fondly the memories...cherished symphonies of their love Sometimes, on silent nights you can hear the tunes Of the man, long since passed Visions dance with vivid romance as plum trees dance with the wind And once again, I hear...cherished symphonies Copyright © 2002 Dennis Hicks All Rights Reserved By Author |

I saw and heard Keith Jarrett in this one, crescendo and all. He still plays, so I presume this is another master you refer to in this delightful piece. Enjoy your words, always. [This message has been edited by Midnitesun (01-09-2003 12:00 PM).] |
