O’er Misty Miles of Blue How I wish the miles of white-capped hues Were less blue, perhaps a mile or two I’d love to stroll the sands of time with you To meet you face to face And to touch with fingers trace Upon lips I’ve longed and dreamed to kiss…. To curl up in your warm embrace And thrill to you as heartbeats race To gaze upon your handsome face It is all that I can think of Beguiled by your sweet love And I know you feel it too…. Don’t you know how I’ve savored your words as mine? Read your lyrics and danced to secret songs in time Oh, Master of words and most delicate rhyme You, my love, hold the key to my heart Though vows and oceans keep us apart But what am I to do with dreams o’er miles and miles of misty blue? Poetry is: Passion, imagination and intellect running together. Aloha with warmest regards, Cheryl Stewart Koomoa [This message has been edited by CSKpoet (01-03-2003 07:48 PM).] |
