to Laura, if you ever decide to wade in, I'll be waiting for you As I sit and watch the stars above, a windswept cloud forms your face and figure, and caged within these bars of love, my imprisoned heart beats with pace and vigour. Silent clouds slowly drift on by, like cotton buds on a calm lagoon, while my uncertainty drifts into this halcyon sky, and loses itself among the stars and the moon. Your lodestar so bright guides my heart yet blinds my eyes, and reason and logic talk with muted voice, I've wandered into an ocean before sunrise, but you're still on the beach and our future's your choice. The water's sweet and warm through and through, but feels empty if we're not together, so now I just hope you'll wade in too, and float and swim with me forever. |
