A Rainy Day Feel It...A cool breeze Hear It...A crackling sound Watch It...An amazing lightshow While waiting for the rain All the animals quiet themselves Do they sense danger? A heavy rain is calming Blowing away thoughts of getting old And bringing us back to childhood times When life was easier And innocence could be found everywhere After the rain is over Everything seems healthier and more beautiful Including how we see ourselves! |

This is a lovely, lovely sentiment. But why did you choose that sign on name? Joyce |

A lot of images in this - very nice. I have to agree with Joyce on your name as it sure doesn't seem to suit your wonderful poetry. I enjoyed this very much. |

(smiles) I just love this, sweet friend, God Bless You, I must say I too am curious why you chose that name but either way your poetry is always so gorgeous and wonderful to read! (big hugggsssssss) This is wonderful, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet friend, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! I agree, a good rain is kind of a natural baptism... The earth feels all new and fresh and sunny. Anyway, good writing here-- captured all of my senses... jumped a bit though when the lightning struck. -Bob |

We've got lots of rains here sometimes, but still, I rather have these than hot sticky summers. About your name, the word Death shouldn't bother us - for a personal experience, awareness of it enhances our capacity to enjoy life and be grateful it is given to us, day by day. |

If we get rain two or three times a year I consider us very lucky here. I love the rain, it refreshes and renews. Your name, I presumed that November was not a good month for you. I thought on another post that is when you stated you lost your father, and therefore the name. Death is the reality of life, nothing we can run away from. Your beautiful words attest so well to that fact. I am an enigma, even unto myself. |
