Early Aching Eyes
Reluctant lids stretch forth another rousing birth An early guide delivers warning of tainted waiting claws Infernal stares seer through unguarded early skin Hissing comments suggest the evidence of flaws
Reluctant muscles absorb new messages to move The fallen crouches in a close and distant shadowed realm Their licking mouths cough up twisting whispered words They climb upon the holding gray and ache to overwhelm
Reluctant steps bring a slow forward motion to achieve Good friend spirit leaves word of their dreams to war One thousand greasy keys drag upon their weighted chains They reach to open doors inside where bones were left before
Reluctant motors turn to energize the temple’s fire The ghost reveals devolved wings stirring closer still The aching consumes everything within their paths They are forced to attack the growing day, a blurring will
Their reluctant claws reach to grasp the stepping mind but good desperate thoughts have turned to armored light and a touch primes the heart for another span of battles old It begins with sweet surrender, without a turn to fight
Their reluctant words choke up hints of angry struggles The friends of good spirit soak up the beautiful release The Whispers that held brokenness and wrongful trouble fall behind the gleaming light and pale to drown beneath
As the ready eyes grow wide for another rousing birth the early guides bestow warming wings upon the day The churning of good motors brings the temple to be full and the aching fallen fall away

(sigh) Wow, this is powerful, dearest friend, I just can't leave this empty-handed of comments as every poet has a special voice, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Timothy, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Mistletoe - Thanx the no responses to this poem was starting to make we wonder if I should revise it. Thanx for the comment. He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered. Proverbs 28:26

I got a response for you, Tim.
WOW!!! I am still shaking my head and hunching off the chills that this one gave me. --------------------------------------------------------- Their reluctant claws reach to grasp the stepping mind but good desperate thoughts have turned to armored light and a touch primes the heart for another span of battles old It begins with sweet surrender, without a turn to fight -------------------------------------------- ------------ Reminded me clearly of Ephesians 6:10-15
Your metaphors are incredible!!! and I can't wait to read more of your work. Dang, I just got another chill.
Awestruck, this goes into my library.

Magic - You really made my morning... really needed some incouragement to get me going. God bless you. I honestly believe there is a whole other world out there full of stories that will never be told - the battles waged amongst angels and demons. I would suppose as humans that we unknowingly decide which we enpower with better weaponry. It's about time we help out the good guys.
Thanx again and God bless you - Tim
