here I am...
a million miles of ocean beside me
many more of sand before me
time has no existence nor space
i walk along the beach
with every step
the slower my pace
the further i walk
the deeper my thoughts
the more i think
the closer i come
to finding you
to finding me

the strength that moves me
binds me to you
the darkness that pursues me
drives me to you
the hope that lives inside me
is you.

I walk

          I move

                     I press on

                                      step

                                    by step

                                    by step

In times of trouble
I wonder where you are
In times of need
I doubt your existence
yet towards the end
I see your footprints in the sand
right beside mine
startled, I look behind
all the way to the beginning
and this reminds me
you are always there
you never left me
I looked high
I looked for miles
but you where staring me
right in the face all the while.

rest upon existence. seek life,
and forever never die.

So true, never very far away that is for sure, and always within praying distance. Nicely interpreted and written.

So true, He is so close, holding our hand the whole way. And looking back all the experiences He shared with us and intervened in that we didn't see - until we looked back.
