These Angels Guarding Me My love of angels stretches far Into the past, where memories are Of early years and how I knew That angels cared for me and you! I don't know how the knowledge came, But life was never quite the same, When I became aware that they Were close beside us every day. I've come to count on them for much. Sometimes I think I feel their touch. When sorrow calls and days are sad, They are the best friends that I've had. I always feel their love and care. Every circumstance,they share. I often wonder what would be, Without these angels guarding me! Encircling, they form a wall, So that what evil may befall, Is deflected,or deflated And it makes me feel elated, Knowing that the love we're sharing, Is given freely, everbearing, Never lessens, never tires. Y'know, this poem actually reminds me of my Catholic school days when my teachers taught us about Guardian Angels. I think mine's been watching over me these past couple of weeks, because I'm feeling a ton better, despite the rejection of my Lili Marlene...Thanks for reminding me of that with this poem... |

Lately angels have been my saving grace as well so I adored this poem. I truly do believe that we are indeed protected by them, and when needed most they are there. What a lovely poem this was. |

Oh yes, and it's not just kids who believe there are angels. I used to say a prayer for my guardian angel since I was a kid, and up to now when i'm half a century old, I still say that each morning. Goes like this: Angel of God, my guardian dear To whom His love commits me here Ever this day be at my side, to light and guide, to love and guard. Anyone knows this? |
