STOPPING SHORT Moments when we’d rather quit Can hold the gold if we’d but commit To press on just a wee bit more Persevere to stay bandit’s score Last verse not sought to end a poem Like missing steeple on church dome Would’ve caught eye of wayward man Pointing him to the Promised Land Silence, no greeting as you go May have said volumes, you just don’t know No sincere prayer for your foe The Spirit’s life found one quart low The greatest sermon brings Heaven down Keyed up angels ready for hoedown The message with no altar call Like no kissed knee when children fall Please hear this deep within your soul Weariness worship keeps key from keyhole Just a thoughtful push for more Patience-fruit crashes through the door [This message has been edited by LayItDown (05-27-2003 04:26 PM).] |

yes! if we'd just persevere and put our hearts into what we do. If we'd just do it all for the Lord! We can learn a lot from this. Well done. Always, Alyssa - And so it was that time stood still - |

(sigh) Patience is a virtue, and will make all things possible, any other approach can only disrupt the process for peace! (big hugggsssssss) You speak with pure wisdom and fervor, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet friend, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton Underneath your clothes, there's an endless story |

I like the images depicting patience - one virtue sometimes so difficult to attain. I esp. like the part of the missing steeple, and "keeps key from keyhole",also not saying a prayer for your foe makes the spirit "one quart low" --and lots more. |
