I'm coming out of a major writers block with this one. This are my thoughts, and really my testimony for my life so far, and especailly this past year. Ascending to the goal I climb my hill As many have before I see their stains Their blood upon the sharpened rocks I see their blood, and I do not mind That mine turns the stone red anew I stumble and catch myself in time To realize that they’ve stumbled too I reach a plateau I rest for a moment And then I notice, as I move my arms That they are strong I began with nothing And, here, halfway to my goal I find that, as I flex my arms I have grown I am a heroine Strong as an Amazon lady And ready to take the next step ---- I find myself in the mist of flames Their heat surrounds my form Bathed in sweat My eyes are seared As I look up to the sky What have I done to earn this fire That I should be plunged into this flame? Why must I endure this trial? I reach to the sky and call His Name And then my wisdom grows I know That God placed me in the pit Into the mist of fiery trial That He put the hill before me So I could climb and be strong He placed me in the fire So it could refine me And right in time When I thought the heat Would melt me to the core He took me out He, with His strong and loving touch Molded me into something beautiful His handmaiden Beautiful indeed But strong… stronger than any had seen Oh, make me Thine forever And should I fainting be Lord, let me never ever Outlive my love for Thee [This message has been edited by LoveBug (05-23-2003 12:18 AM).] |

Your first two lines say it all. "Ascending to the goal" "I climb my hill" and having reached that goal you've found another. An excellent write. Thanks for sharing this. Good Will Always, Mystic Dreamer |

Isn't it wonderful that God let's us in on the PROCESS that is underway in our development? Otherwise we would simply be spinning...unaware that we are on the Potter's wheel. Love, LayItDown |
