I sit and fight the morning chill where the tree was on this hill Its been quiet here for years since the day your blood was spilled Afraid to look You in the eye; at the pain so deep inside Afraid youll say I've fallen one too many times But you taught me how to pray when I can't find the words to say You catch me when I'm falling and I fall into Your Grace. In every word You say. Every promise that You made In every single time you took me dancing in the rain Now my heart is quiet and still in the space I left unfilled. let Your Spirit take His place; its why i'm waiting on this hill for every, every word you say. I know You hope that I would stop reaching for the lie and hold tightly to the peace I keep finding in Your eyes. I'm just glad you understand that I'm a simple man I can't do it all alone But in You I know I can. In between the mountains, when You feel so far away; remind me of your pardon; let me rest for mercy's sake In every word you say, every promise that you made, come true on this old hill; this bloody ground where I stand. I'm finding every single moment I need You just to breathe. I need Your Spirit to believe in the love You came to be; in every word you say to me. |

So well you've expressed the humbling knowledge of Who HE really is, and what helpless sinners we are. Thank you for sharing your talent here. God bless, Rae |
