It Rained All Day Today

It rained all day today, which caused my heart to stay
in sorry state of thought of so many people's ugly fate
by denying God as chose personal friend.
He the one who sticks with us in the end.
When trouble comes so many leave us flat.
Then God beckons us for a chat.
Although God has provided for all we need.
So many have turned to greed.
It is possessions that they worship now.
Things have become their golden cow.
All their words are but dirty tricks
To the powerless they give hard kicks
Money can buy affection but for a day.
But without more cash, love quickly goes away.
When we settle for love that money buys,
the love for God inside us dies.
Storms inside us with their troubles and cares,
Can go to our savior in our prayers.
And thus avoid both anguish and shame.
God our evil demons does tame.
