In thru the mist I slip into forest deep A midnite's sun of moonbeams couldn't help a body see The floor still warm from sunlight leaves shift softly in the breeze and I come to rest near a babbling brook and fall down to my knees To drink cool water precious from the river of winding light that feeds the soul and renews my heart against the perils of the night. Dream softly, gently precious soul enjoy the slumber, yours at last and make your way with special care for your days are numbered as the grass Find the shoreline and learn to be but, first good soul; but first... to sleep. I kept wondering why that frisbee kept getting bigger and bigger....and then it hit me. |

This is a truly beautiful and touching poem! I especially liked the first stanza as it set the scene for all that follows perfectly. I never advise people on any changes in their poems unless it is an obvious error. This is your poem. It's perfect just as you wrote it. God Bless Bob. |
