Balaam had a talking donkey Darn thing nearly drove him bonkey Blasted thing would not move a bit Even after it was hit. In the donkey was God disguised But Balaam was not a bit surprised To have a donkey that could speak A creature that was low and meek A creature with barely a thought And one that surely ought To only make a braying sound Was laying on the ground Spilling out words of caution true For Balaam to most carefully rue The wisdom of the beast was right But Balaam’s intelligence was slight I think if I ever met a talking beast I would take the time at least To find out what it had to say Though it might turn my feet to clay I guess it proves a sad old tale That human logic does often fail And that animals have a certain way To give us all a better day. |

From this poem, one could learn much. God will not put up with resistant from anyone. Even, if it means Him getting beast to talk. It can be checked out in Numbers 22. This poem, I think it is good - as it may send many to the Bible. |

I agree with your poem. I have two cats and a dog and they speak to me all the time. Most of the time they say give me food and let me out, but, sometimes, well, they just want to be loved. Hey, wait a minute, that might be me talking! Anyway, like your poem brings to light, I do, also, have animals in which I can relate. God bless, -Bob |
