Jesus Christ is Born!

Little baby Jesus rests
in a wooden manger.
All the world in Him is blessed,
free from harm and danger.
God has come to earth as man,
Life for death exchanger,
crucified to fill His plan,
Jesus Christ is born!
Jesus Christ is born!

Star of Bethlehem that shines
o’er the Mother’s keeping
of the Promised One, Divine,
woos the Babe to sleeping.
O’er the fields, the shepherds run,
ox and sheep are leaping,
Angels call to everyone,
Jesus Christ is born!
Jesus Christ is born!

Wise men come from far away,
bask the Babe in presents.
Mary ponders as she prays,
marvels at His essence,
welcomes all to pass their way,
kings and queens and peasants,
welcomes all who pass today,
Jesus Christ is born!
Jesus Christ is born!

Simeon does prophesy,
says he sees his Savior.
Peace and Joy are multiplied,
Jesus grows in favor,
reaches people far and wide,
teaches good behavior;
All is well where Love resides,
Jesus Christ is born!
Jesus Christ is born!

Merry Merry Christmas and God Bless you all,
Lighthouse Bob

Margherita,

You're very very Welcome!!! It was certainly my good pleasure to share and, yes, a very Merry Merry Christmas to you and yours, especially, on this day when we celebrate and commemorate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ our King of Kings.

Part of the great joy this celebration brings come in the form of cards and letters and wonderful poems like this one.  This reads like a lovely Christmas song, Bob.  May you and yours enjoy this season and a bright, happy New Year, too.

God bless,

Bob,

That was beautiful and succinct, and may
others be drawn through it to have Jesus
Christ born in their heart this coming year.

Bob,

That was a very very kind reply, thank you, and, yes, I too do hope and pray that others may have Jesus Christ born into their lives and hearts and, Praise the Lord, if this poem makes any kind of a contribution to someone coming to Christ, WoW! What a Beautiful Beautiful thought!!! Really, no greater thing could ever happen than that.

Again, God bless and I do hope that you and yours had a Merry Merry Christmas,

-Bob

How ever did I miss this wonderful write, and an opportunity to wish you the best Bob.  This truly does read like a wonderful song, and maybe someone at church can figure out how to do just that?

Mysteria,

Well, now, I don't think it's, probably, ever, ever too late to wish someone the best of wishes (smiles) and, yes, I do, certainly, certainly, accept, open heartedly, your kind thoughts, what-so-ever, whenever they are given. Thank you! Thank you!. Hummmm, the funny thing about this poem is that many people who have already read it and commented on it made very similar comments as yours and, though I'm not a singer by any means, I did have a wonderful, wonderful tune within my heart and mind as I wrote it down. Anyway,

also, best of thoughts to you and yours and I do hope you all had a Merry Merry Christmas,

-Bob

Thank you, Joyce,

What a beautiful, beautiful blessing to be the one so wonderfully privileged to have my poem chosen to bring a Christmas to you in July.

God bless you, my friend,

Bob, don't you love how infinitely creative our Lord allows us be when we're writing about His birth?  It seems no matter how many of us do it or how many poems we write, we each find a different way to express the same truths... As my pastor is fond of saying, it's a God thing.

I enjoyed this little season of Christmas in July.  Thank you for posting it, and thanks to Joyce for bumping it back up.

Traci

Well, now, you’re most very, very Welcome and, most definitely, I do Thank you as I do agree that, no, it never, never, never does get old, the bountiful supply of God’s creativity, and, yes, I do sooooooo appreciate the wonderful, wonderful opportunity, as well as you do, to be a part of the ‘God thing’ and, you know, I have to believe that, in some strange, beyond our human understanding way, Joyce's bringing this poem back up during the time when she did, in the middle of July, had to have a bit of a ‘God thing’ connected with it as well.

Anyway, thank you, thank you, so very much for your kind comment, Big Smiles and God bless,

-Bob
