RUNNING FROM GOD All of us at sometime have ran from God When He asked us to do something we don’t chose to do Though we feel free to select whom we follow A life without faith is impossible to renew The falsehoods of hell deceive man’s soul Challenging our dedication and resolve. Anywhere at anytime dilemmas can occur Which we must overcome, endure and solve. Jonah ran from God and took flight on a ship To be thrown over and swallowed by a whale. After three days he was cast up unharmed To save Nineveh from the wickedness of Hell. Samson ran from God to the arms of Delilah Who gave him pleasure beyond compare. Soon she betrayed him and removed his hair Exposing him to capture, imprisonment and despair. Christians believe you can run but not hide From the eyes of Jehovah the one and only God. Loving us regardless of our weakness towards sin And when we transform and repent, “He’s there.” By Christian Poet Tom Zart Most Published Poet On The Web |

No god, Has ever asked me, To do something, I didn't care to. But my mother, my wife, my children, my friends, my employers, have. Often. I'm glad I know, that important, difference. |

I liked your Biblical references to Jonah and Samson and in reading reminded me that in regards to Jonah "going down" into the depth of the whale and Samson being "lifted up" in the arms of Delilah and earthly pleasure that God acknowledges that no height, depth, nor any living thing can ever separate us from His Love. Good job, God bless, and Merry Merry Christmas!!! -Bob |
